The UK will soon be introducing the Electronic Travel Authorization system (ETA), which will serve as a digital permit for travel to all EU nations who do not currently need a visa for short stays. The ETA will cost £10 and permit multiple journeys to the EU. Click below to go to the online application.
While the EES launched on October 12, 2025, full implementation of the system won't be in place until April 10, 2026. In the six months between those dates, your passport will be stamped, and you may or may not go through an EES kiosk.
